An eye opening video from ReasonTV. Please fell free to check out their channel for great videos. There is a solution and many of us are working hard in the background on ways to make it possible. The more I talk to people, the more I become inspired. Without a doubt, there is demand. But for most, it just isn't possible because of the logistical and legal roadblocks. Many are already living this way, but are technically breaking the law. I think that is ironic. This is a great solution for so many people and friendly to the Earth. What could be wrong with that? The technology exists right now to make these virtually self-sustaining! And most who build these prefer to used reclaimed materials such as shipping containers and other building materials. There was a time when the goal was to get to that big house on the hill. "Bigger is Better" was our mission statement and defining point to show the world our level of success. Maybe it's time we redefine the "American Dream" and what we call home. I envision a society where we are not in competition to be bigger and better than our fellows, but rather in cooperation working towards a goal of sustainability, harmony, and freedom from debt. Less time working for toys that bring us short bursts of happiness and more time with friends, family, and pursuing our passions. I'm not saying everyone should live this way, but for those who want it, there should be a viable path to Tiny Home ownership. What do you think?
